So, I was in Times Square today with my nephew walking to a pizza place when I get a text message from Anna saying that not only was NIN coming back for more U.S. shows (after announcing that Bonnaroo was his last show on U.S. soil--jerk), but that there were THREE NYC DATES. Not only that, but they were going to be small venue shows. My heart started beating like crazy at that point. They also planned on playing one night in Chicago and 4 nights in LA. I took that photo at the Camden show in June. Even though they were a little off their game that night, it was still the best show ever because it would be the last time I would be in the pit having the time of my life.So when I heard this news, I was immediately ecstatic and then thought, is this a joke? I texted Jonathan as well as Bryan a bit later and they confirmed hearing the same rumor and that it was posted by Trent Reznor on nin.com. Last time I saw them in NYC was the first time I saw them, back in 2005 during the With Teeth tour. It's almost like coming full circle, but even better. Apparently, they will be playing at the Bowery, Terminal 5 and Webster Hall. I already know getting tickets are going to be a bitch.
And right now I'm already looking at flights to LA. Awesome.I need another job for all the future bills I will have to pay.
